if my 60" wide got destroyed I'd die! its my baby as far as tvs go. Ive got it on a surge protector. it also is for lighting. I've heard that just a regular surge protector just doesnt cover a lighting strike
Shit, I was hoping I'd win that argument.

And it's just you and Pappy living there, right?
Let's compare.
[smartass]There are 4 people in my house. Mom, Dad, Sister and I. We have... well had 4 TVs, one in the living room, one in my room (only one surviving, if you'll remember), one in my sister's room, and one in my parents' room (although my dad is the only one who watches it; mom gets the living room). That's one-TV per person.
You have 3 TVs in your house and two people. We had 4 TVs in our house with 4 people. And who's asking who if they need TVs?[/smartass]

we're so hooked on tvs, we have them in every room but the bathrooms!
I had to buy surge protectors AND voltage regulators for some of my equipment here.....
Hmm... if there are different surge protectors, the one I have must protect from lightning.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">What!? No tvs in the bathroom?? It must be hard to live in such rough conditions! I'm sorry Chaser, I didn't know. Originally posted by chaserfan:

And by that, I mean put at least one in each bathroom.
I've two televisions just for little old me, a 27 inch in the sitting room and a 13 inch in the inner sanctum. I only had the 13 inch for catching up with the news in the AM, but I have not even turned it on in ages, since I have stopped watching TV entirely. It did come in handy for a few days when I crushed the alarm clock, as it has a timer. The other is pretty much just for watching movies or playing video games, and again, haven't done much of either in a while now. The stereo has a lot more mileage on it, I've pretty much always got something playing of late.
I've got a power conditioner on my big screen, but I learned my lesson the hard way. Like Daj, I had 2 TV's get fried in a lightning incedent
And on the subject of excessive TV's, a good buddy of mine has 14 TV's in his house (which consists of him, his wife and a big ass dog)
He has the Great Room set, a set in his bedroom and in the basement he has the "Wall of TV's." 6 25" TV's in a row, 2 rows. It's impressive as hell during football season
